Jackson G-Control Lure

The Jackson G-Control Lures are well-renowned among anglers that cast off the beach and rocks for pelagic fish like bonito, salmon, tailor, kingfish and other similar species. They've made a name for themselves worldwide and continue to dominate and increase in popularity. The Jackson G-Control Lures are extremely versatile lures that can be retrieved both fast and slow. When slowly retrieved they lift, roll and wobble for a prolonged attraction, and then at high speed they're used effectively for land-based angling. Also due to their compact size and heavy weight, you'll get quite a big cast out of them.

The Secret to the Jackson G-Control Lure is the 2nd bib on the underside of the lure that keeps it in the water even on super fast retrievals. So you can really rip them in fast when targeting fast predatory pelagics like tuna and mackerel. The colour range is wide and has some real baitfish looking design mixed with bright and flashy favourites.

Jackson Metal Effect Blade Lure

The Jackson Metal Effect Blade 30 Lure is a variation on the largely popular Jackson Metal effect Stay Fall Lure. It is a unique slimline micro jig/casting metal hybrid with a great action both on the retrieve and on the drop. It was designed to be as versatile as possible and to be used with a jerking retrieve (either vertical jigging or casting with a jerking retrieve), and as such can be used from the shore where long casts are needed or out of the boat dropping over the side. The most obvious and notable change from the design of the original Jackson Metal Effect Slow Fall to the Jackson Metal Effect Blade Lure is the addition of the blade and single hook at the rear of the lure. We here at Fergo's have personally tested these bad boys out and can tell you with confidence that the action, flash and spin that the Jackson Metal Effect Blade lure generates is unreal! With a super tight and bright blade spiral, the Jackson Metal Effect Blade is sure to generate some attention whether you're jigging or spinning.

The lure was designed to maximise the effectiveness of the 'Kurohyou Jerk' technique, where the angler jerks the lure three times and then winds their reel three times afterward, which gives a lot of action on the jerks but usually very little in-between jerks. The Jackson Metal Effect Stay Fall Lure has a shape that ensures action during the pause of this technique as well as the jerk because the slack line allows the lure to fall as it was made to, which is ideal for keeping fish interested and provoking a strike when it's dropping.

Jackson Metal Effect Blade 30g Lure

The centre of gravity on the Jackson Metal Effect Blade 30g Lure was intentionally shifted slightly to the rear of the lure in the design phase. This ensures the lure flies straight through the air for maximum casting distance rather than flipping over itself. You would think this asymmetrical design would make the lure sink bottom first, but the perfect concave throughout the middle of the lure ensures it falls horizontally for maximum pause in the water column. The 30g has proven to be extra effective on those days when the Bonnies are being fussy and won't take something larger.
